Nursery Education Funding

At Bopeeps Preschool we offer places for 2, 3 & 4 year olds on a term time basis..

In line with the government scheme we offer free government Nursery Education Funding (NEF) for children who are 2 years and above that meet the various requirements.

Typically the funding begins the term after each child’s birthday unless the parent(s) are currently working and satisfy the conditions set out by the government. Children who are not yet eligible for grants may (depending on their age) may register for a place which will be charged at a sessional rate.

30 Hours Funded places
At both settings we offer 30 hour places for those who satisfy the working parents critera. There are quailifying criteria for these places to be funded and information can be found on the government web site here...---30 hour free childcare.

Those not qualifying for working parents places
If you do not qualify for the working parents places then there are two other options available;

If your child is between 3 and 4 years old and you live in England, you can get 15 hours of free childcare a week for 38 weeks of the year.

If you or your child get extra support, you may be eligible for free education and childcare for 2 year olds.

Paying for private sessions/additional hours
If you do not qualify for free places or need to pay for additional hours then the following applies:

At Bopeeps we offer places at two settings; Blackheath (Mycenae House) and Welling (St MIchaels Community Centre).
As these are in different areas there are different sessional rates for each, (Please enquire for latest sessional rates).

Additional time e.g. to extend your session is not covered by the government funding and is currently charged at £5 per half hour (charged in 1/2 hour blocks). This fee is to cover staffing, rent and insurrance.

Sessional patterns
At both settings we offer flexiblibity in session times;
Between our openning time of 9am and closing time of 3:30pm you can choose a 3,5 or 6 hour session at an appropriate start time.

Chargable extras
We do not charge for the extras that we provide such as visiting providers of activities, Nappies, Wipes, Fruit and Snacks. However, we do have a donations Jar where parents are able to contribute towards these of a volunary basis.

We do however have a non-compulsory uniform that parents can purchase such as T-shirts, polo shirts, Jumpers and book bag. Please enquire to the latest charges for these as they are dependant on our suppliers.

Deposits/Admin charges
We do not charge a deposit scheme or admin charges for our services.

When a Child is ill

Parents are required to keep their children at home if they are ill and must also inform the pre-school about any such illness. We strive to protect other children from the risks of cross infections. Please refer to the pre-school's policies and proceedures.

However, if in the pre-school, a child requires any medication for treatment, our qualified staff will help administer such medication ONLY with a written and certified consent from the parent(s). In other words ALL parents must sign a consent form(s).
